TCSAR Welcomes The Rescue World
Oct 7-12, 2025 | Jackson, Wyoming
Teton County Search & Rescue is proud to host the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR) in October 2025. It will be just the second time in 77 years that this annual Congress will be held in the U.S. With approximately 600 alpine rescuers from 25 countries planning to attend, this will be the biggest international event in Jackson’s history.
While ICAR is a private event for registered attendees, TCSAR is offering two events that welcome the public to be involved. From 3:30-5 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, the public is invited to come see five helicopters at the base of Snow King Mountain.
Then, to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, we are excited to invite the local community to attend a FREE event that recognizes our unique and storied Western heritage.
Jackson Hole Heritage Night:

October 10
Teton County Fairgrounds
Cost: Free
From 5-8 p.m. on October 10, at the Teton County Fairgrounds, 40+ local businesses, nonprofits, artists, and food trucks will bring some magic to our Vendor Village. The evening will feature a special offseason Jackson Hole Rodeo, along with performances from the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative.
The Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative will include “ReMATRIATE,” an artwork and presentation that will showcase moving Buffalo (bison) sculptures made of red birch, sage and scarves. Dancers and singers/drummers will bring the Buffalo to life with focus of Land Rematriation through Buffalo Restoration. Gifting cultural identity, natural respectful connection for all life, transforming our united futures with healing and devoted obligation for all those that come after us. A colorful story, promoting understanding and honor.
We are excited to extend an invite to YOU—our neighbors, supporters, and most valuable backcountry safety advocates—to join us for this FREE evening celebrating food, art, Western heritage, and mountain rescue.
