THE SHRIVER SOCIETY
The Shriver Society consists of dedicated supporters of Teton County Search and Rescue who make a long term, significant contribution to the volunteer team.

RAY SHRIVER served on the Teton County Search and Rescue team from its inception in 1993 until his death in 2012. His dedication to training and education was unmatched in the search and rescue community. During his nearly 20 years of service, Ray volunteered more hours to rescues and training than anyone else in Teton County history. Ray specialized in training canines and his search dogs were renowned. His sincere and passionate commitment to Jackson Hole and the area continues to be respected and honored today.
Ray died on February 15, 2012, in a helicopter crash while on a Search & Rescue mission. (Hear the story from our podcast The Fine Line.) The Shriver Society was created in his honor. Your three-year commitment augments training, equipment and other ancillary support, directly impacting our mission.

Who Joins?
Everyone is invited to be a member of the Shriver Society. Just like Ray, we celebrate dedication, hard work and commitment to this team at whatever level is significant to you. To successfully support the TCSAR volunteers, we rely upon broad-based support from our community.
How does it work?
You can sign up for the Shriver Society here on our website, by mailing a Shriver Society postcard or by speaking with a member of the TCSAR Foundation staff or board.
What is Significant?
Significant contributions are personal. What does TCSAR mean to you? What is comfortable for your family at this time? TCSAR volunteers come from all walks of life, from paint shop owners and river guides to financial planners and lawyers. We appreciate and embrace donors that are as diverse as our team.
What is long term?
We ask our Shriver Society members for a minimum commitment of three years at the same level each year.
