TCSAR Volunteers

Volunteers are expected to be ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Since its inception, TCSAR volunteers have spent thousands of hours honing their skills in all areas of rescue procedures including:

  • Swiftwater Rescue

  • Avalanche Rescue

  • Cave Rescue

  • Downed Aircraft ELT Tracking

  • Navigation

  • Lost Person Search

  • Helicopter Operations

  • High Angle Rescue

  • Wilderness Emergency Medicine and Patient Evacuation

  • Backcountry Skiing and Snowmobile Rescue
